Our canoe fossil-hunting tours are $125 per person for teens and adults.
Children 12 and under are $90.

We accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, or U.S. checks on the day of the tour.
No deposit is required to hold a reservation.
Please note: credit and debit cards are not accepted on-site.
Tours last approximately 5–6 hours.
We meet at a pre-arranged location near the river at 9:30 AM and typically return to our vehicles around 3:30 PM.
Detailed directions to the meeting location will be sent the day before your trip.
Our fossil-hunting expeditions take place on the Peace River in central Florida.
The locations are approximately:
1 hour from Sarasota, Tampa, and downtown Fort Myers
90 minutes from Orlando
2 hours from West Palm Beach and Vero Beach
We frequently visit areas near Wauchula and Bowling Green.
Transportation is not provided.
Wear comfortable clothing that can get wet and dirty.
Recommended:
Swimsuit, quick-dry shorts, and T-shirt
Closed-toe footwear (water shoes or sneakers with socks)
Dive boots (if you have them)
Wide-brim hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
Not recommended:
Flip-flops, sandals, or open shoes
Wading boots (sand and gravel get inside)
Choose items you don’t mind getting wet or muddy.
We provide all the equipment needed to collect fossils, including screens, shovels, life jackets, and vests.
We also usually have snorkels available if water conditions allow, but you’re welcome to bring your own.
Please bring:
Your own lunch and drinks
(Small coolers are fine for canoe tours if under 30” long)
Water shoes, a change of clothes, and a towel
Any personal medications you may need
A dry bag or zip-lock bag to keep phones, keys, and wallets dry
This helps ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience on the river.
